For most households, the pre-Christmas deep clean is the highest-leverage clean of the year for one reason: it pays back in stress-free hosting.
When to book — the timing window
The optimal window is 7-10 days before your first major hosting event. That gives the home a clean baseline, time to add any decorations, and a small buffer for any prep tasks the deep clean reveals.
- Mid-November: Book early. Pre-Christmas calendar fills 4-6 weeks ahead.
- Late November: Good window. Most slots still available.
- Early December (week 1-2): Most popular window. Limited slots.

What we focus on differently for hosting season
A standard deep clean is the same year-round. A pre-Christmas deep clean has the same scope but with extra attention on the rooms guests use:
- Guest bedroom + bathroom. Often the most-neglected rooms. Full mattress vacuum, bedding refresh, full bathroom reset.
- Front entry. The first impression. Skirtings, door frame, polish front door handle, clean welcome mat.
- Kitchen. Worked harder during hosting. Range hood filters, inside the oven, behind the fridge.
- Living areas. Vacuum upholstery (more time on the sofa during the season), wipe TV unit and side tables.
- Dining room or table area. Wipe table, polish if timber, vacuum chairs.
- Powder room or guest WC. Often skipped, always noticed.
